You need to have an internet connection, at least to start with.
Once you have viewed the venues and artists information, those will be cached on your phone, and you can access it without an internet connection.
At the bottom right of some screens, there is a refresh button that will force the latest information to be downloaded from the BGG database.
current gig listings
The Current Gigs listing shown the time and date when last added to your phone.

Click on a date or time to add an event to your calendar.

artists listings

Browse by Name :
Select the first letter of the artist's name, or select the # button for those that start with numbers or symbols. You will get a list of artists.
Tap the one you're looking for, and you will find all their details. You may have to wait a few seconds initially for the information to be loaded.
If it does not work, tap the refresh button at the bottom right of the screen, to force the information to be re-loaded from the BGG database.

Select the genre of music you want. You will get a list of artists.
Tap the one you're looking for, and you will find all their details, or scroll down to read about all of them. You may have to wait a few seconds initially for the information to be loaded.
