This information relates to all my i❤MyCountry Wallpaper Art applications on iPhone.

How to get started

1. Tap to dismiss the initial application splash screen if it appears.
2. Select one of the Galleries (see category details below) depending on your personal preferences.
3. Use the next/prev buttons in the bottom left of the Gallery viewer to browse through the images.
4. Use the action button in the bottom right to Save the image to your Photo Album.
5. Use the back button in the top left to return to the category listings.
6. You can save a bunch of your favorites to the Photo Album before doing the next steps.

How to set your screen backgrounds

1. Use the Action button in the bottom right of the Gallery viewer to Save the image to your Photo Album.
2. Open the Apple "Photos" application.
3. The image you just saved will appear as the last image on the Camera Roll.
4. Tap on the Action button (iPhone bottom left, iPad top right) to see a list of things you can do with the image.
5. Select "Use as Wallpaper".
6. Decide if you want to Set the image for your "Lock Screen" or "Home Screen" or both.
7. Close "Photos", close the gallery, and you're done.

I have crash-tested the Gallery apps with my testing team to ensure the best quality experience for you, but nothing is perfect.

Sometimes, you may see an error message, or the app will crash.

Don't panic. There are a few possible causes, and all are easy to fix.

• Your device has run out of memory
  - Close any apps you are not using (see below), and restart the Gallery app.
• Another app is using all the resources
  - Close any apps you are not using (see below), and restart the Gallery app.
• Our app has encountered a problem
  - Close and restart the Gallery app (see below).
• You do not have an internet connection
  - Our apps sometimes get updates via internet, to enable new bonus material, or for simple improvements to menu wording etc. If a critical update is interrupted, you may encounter a problem that does not fix itself immediately
  - Close and restart the Gallery app (see below).

NOTE * To fully close any app : Double click the device home button, hold on the app icon for a couple of seconds until it starts shaking, and tap the red (x) to shut down the app.

I have made every effort to provide a wide selection of artwork styles and variations in my galleries, but maybe you expected something different than what you saw in the iTunes preview. I'd like to know, so I can prevent the same problem for other people in the future.

If there's still nothing on the Bonus galleries online, feel free to request something specific (see Requests below).

If it's a technical complaint or suggestion, send that to me as well. If it's happening to everyone, I will make sure to release a new version without the same issues ASAP.

NOTE : many wallpapers are listed under several categories, and you will see them many times as you browse - if there's a screen that is a dark and muted graphic illustration of a well known landmark and features the country flag, it will be listed and seen in ALL categories except for the bright and colorful galleries.

The iPhone and iPad galleries combined show all the images that you downloaded with the original app.

Any BONUS images you download later are not categorised.

iPhone :

Artwork in this category is 1280 x 1920 pixels in size. Which is HUGE. Fully 16 times the area of the basic 320 x 480 iPhone wallpapers. It means that you can scale the whole image up, or select to see just part of it on your screen, and still have really crisp detail on the new retina screens. All these images will work on your iPad as well.

iPad :

Artwork in this category is 2048 x 2048 pixels in size. Which is HUGE. Four times the area of the common 1024 x 1024 wallpapers. It means that you can scale the whole image up, or select to see just part of it on your screen, and still have really crisp detail on the new retina screens. All these images will work on your iPhone as well.

Flag :

Artwork in this category are based on the country flag. They may feature the flag, or just include the flag. Sometimes, they will be artistic interpretations.

Dark :

Mainly black or dark colored backgrounds. But sometimes with a bright feature accent.

Light :

Mainly white or light colored backgrounds. But sometimes with a dark feature accent.

Scenic :

Artwork in this category is based on photos - usually iconic images from your country's past or the vibrant cultural present. It might be landmarks, unique animals, famous buildings, historic people, or geography.

Graphic :

Big, bold and blocky. Or finely detailed filigree. Deconstructed flags and iconography. Graphic elements recombined. Simple colors, and usually a lot of fun.

Colorful :

These screens are for happy cheerful people! Bright, saturated colors. Nothing sombre or subtle about these.

Muted :

If you like you screens to be subtle, these will be to your taste. Soft, pastels, muted colors will be soothing to your eyes.

Bonus :

In addition to the images that come with the app when you originally download it, there's an additional online gallery that behaves exactly the same way as the ones above, but it needs an active internet connection to download the latest images. Check back whenever you want to change your wallpaper - there may be something to inspire you afresh every month!

Share :

Here's the best part - you can share any of the images with your friends, direct for the Gallery viewer, or after you've saved your favorites to the Photo Album. But why not invite them to grab the whole lot for themselves by spending a couple of dollars at the Apps Store? They'll appreciate it. And I definitely will!
